During shedding season (spring and autumn) Samoyed dogs shed their fur in balls, which is why they have to be brushed using a brush with stainless steel pins, since it reaches deeper into their hair. In this way the hair of the Samoyeds returns to its previous condition much sooner. Bathing Samoyed dogs could have some undesired consequences such as damaging the skin and destruction of their natural protection against dirt. They should be brushed at least twice a day. In order to keep their hair shiny, it is necessary to monitor their nutrition and make sure it contains enough meat and fish products.
